Custom Art: A Wedding Gift
Of all the commissions Andy has ever done, I think this one means the most. It was a wedding gift! Shortly after getting engaged in August, Kristen and her new fiance Will were enjoying a meal at Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach. Will noticed Andy’s guitar art hanging on the wall and kept commenting how much he liked it. Kristen discovered it was Andy who made the piece and found his gallery while Will wasn’t around. She told Andy that Will (who’s from Fiji) is a worship leader and she wanted a guitar commission to give him for their wedding.
Andy has done many commissions, each one special in its own way. He’s even done a piece as an anniversary gift. But as a wedding gift from a wife to her husband… that’s a big deal! And since it was going to be a surprise, he couldn’t get feedback from Will. Andy prayed about it and asked God to give him a vision. What he saw in his mind were hands in a variety of colors, representing the nations of the world. The hands were stretching out from the sea, lifted towards the heavens. Kristen requested various shades of blue and gave Andy some shells that she and Will had collected during their engagement trip.
Kristen, thank you so much for trusting Andy with such a meaningful gift for Will. It was truly an honor for him to make this for you. (And also, thank you for sharing it with the world!) We wish the two of you a lifetime of love and adventure. We can’t wait to see the story God writes for you!
